This week I'm trying to make ever day a special project day. I want to finish a lot of UFO's and WIP's I'm working on. So I hope this will do the trick. The only thing is that me falling down from the chairs make it difficult to sit, so I found out that you can patch standing.. LOL
Monday is for know on 'old Dutch Blue Monday'. This project is in my closet for years now, and has to be finished this year.

This quilt was designed for a kitchen door, but since I moved I do not have a door to hang it on. And the colors don't match anymore with my other decorations and furniture. I want to finish it anyhow because of the typical Dutch fabrics. Maybe when it's finished I can sell it, or make it a special present for some one special.

Tuesday will be Saskia's House Day. I started the 5th block. and because it's the center of the quilt, I want it to be special. I found a different saying, i have to transfer it onto the fabric yet. I used a old piece of lace as the center strip. My great-aunt who passed away 15 years ago left me lots of lace, ribbons and buttons. it's my treasure, and once in a while i use some of it. ( as I'm looking at the photo I see a little mistake, I have to do one strip over, because I want the roses on the lace in one direction..)

And of course Wednesday is one flower day. It's not much this week. Only two, and one has to be sewed together yet. But Maybe I find some time later today. And I hope I can prep some more flowers. I'm going to visit some other flower gardens later today, and I hope it's sunny and dry. Because in Holland it's looking like fall again. rain, rain, rain!

  4. Phew! Pressure! I know lots of people try these schedules for UFOs but I think it puts on pressure. I like just working on what I feel like on that day. Soooooo...I am starting something new today...lol. Well, you only live once, right?

Loving all your progress. Now as far as that blue and red quilt...keep it and use it in the garden on your table or draped over your bench to cheer you when you sit outside with me and a cup of cafe au lait. Hint...lol.

Now what is this about falling from a ladder??? Please be very careful!!!

Gentle quilted hugs (since you are bruised) ~
