lente of niet? (spring or not yet?)

Dacht toch echt dat de lente er aan zat te komen. De zon scheen afgelopen week af en toe, en ik zag onderweg naar huis vandaag 3 lammetjes in de wei. 2 zwarte en 1 witte. En toen,.. toen begon het te sneeuwen!!
Dan maar wat zonnige bloemen er tegen aan, mijn bloementuintje groeit aardig, en het blijft leuk om aan te werken.

I hoped spring was on his way, the sun was doing her best the last couple of day's and when driving home today I saw the first little lambs in the meadow. 2 black ones, and one white. And then.., then it starting snowing!!!
So I have to put something sunny and floral against it. My little flowergarden is growing slowly. But I love working on it.

Ondertussen heb ik ook het tweede blok van de boerenquilt gemaakt. Ik hou het lekker simpel en gebruik voorlopig alleen maar malletje 1 en 3. Kijken hoeveel blokken ik daarvan kan maken.

I needed to finish the second block of my farmersquilt. I keep it simple, and use only two templates. number 1 and 3. I will find out how many different blocks I can make with those templates.

En we blijven even ouderwets bezig, mijn gehaakte vierkantjes schieten ook aardig op, ben nu op de helft. Wol van de action en heerlijk zacht en lekker om mee te haken.

I'm a little bit old fashioned with all my projects, the fabrics on my grandmothers flowers, the cival war fabrics for the farmersquilt and with my granny squares. it's half way finished. still 4 rows to go. I bought the yarn at a cheap store. It feels so soft, and I love working with it.

Het waren weer drukke dagen de afgelopen week, niet echt veel op internet en alle blogs kunnen kijken, ik hoop dat ik vanavond nog even tijd heb.



The last couple of day's where kind of busy, I didn't had much time for internet and all the blogs. I hope to visit you all this evening or maybe the next weekend.

beetje druk.. (little busy..)

Ben d'r wel hoor! Alleen een beetje druk geweest de laatste weken. En als ik dan moet kiezen tussen een naald en draad in mijn vingers, of mijn vingers op een laptop, dan is de keuze snel gemaakt LOL!
Gisteren zoals zoveel naar vijfhuizen geweest. En wat zijn er toch veel kunstenaars onder ons.

I'm still here!!, Only a little bit busy, the last few weeks. And the choice is easy made, if I have to choose between working with needle & thread, or a laptop and a blog LOL!
I went to a quiltshow yesterday with three other creative lady's. And did we had a good time~!!
There so many artist among us, it made me a little bit speechless.

De nederlandse sluiten wel aan bij mijn Old Dutch Blue, en het projectje waar ik nu in het geheim aan het werken ben.
The Dutch quilts reminded me of my own quilt 'Old Dutch Blue'. And it reminded me of a little (secret) project I'm working on..

Heb een paar verrassingspakketjes stof gekocht om een voorjaarzakjeskrans te maken (leuk woord voor scrabble!)
Dat moest ik natuurlijk gelijk snijden en alvast zo'n 30 zakjes stikken.

Wat had ik nou toch ook alweer beloofd aan mezelf (en jullie).. het was iets met eerst ufo's afmaken of zo. hmmm
Heb ik ook!!

I bought a few fabric surprise packs, for a spring wrench. I had to cut the squares and sew 30 little bags. There was something about finishing UFO's first, wasn't there??
I did!

Mijn tweede kussentje van mijn Kerstboom SAL is klaar. Nu moet ik braaf wachten tot het einde van maart, voordat we weer een SAL dag hebben. Hoop dat ik zo lang geduld kan hebben..?..
I finished the second pillow of my Christmas Pillow SAL. Now I have to wait untill the end of March before we start the third part. If I can wait that long..?..




Ik kreeg van Hetty ook nog een award! Vreselijk lief, maar ik kan niet kiezen aan wie ik het zal doorgeven.
Eigenlijk iedereen die bij mij komt lezen, en waar ik graag de blogs van lees, mag het stokje overnemen.
