Vooruitgang (Progress)

Wat een heerlijk herfst weer is het toch! Heb ervan genoten, en je ziet van die mooie plaatjes als je met je camera op stap gaat.
Last weekend was great fall weather, I loved walking in the woods. With camera in my hand, there where lots of great treasures to find.

Begin van het jaar, had ik van die mooie voornemens om (veel) UFO's en WIP's af te maken.
We zitten alweer bijna in oktober, en ik heb toch nog aardig wat projecten liggen...
En heb ik me toch weer laten verleiden door een nieuw project. Maar wel een hele leuke! Argh!...

Starting this year with great resolutions to finish lots of UFO's and WIP's.
Well, it's almost october and there still projects calling for some stitching....

De eerste blok is deze, wel aardig gelukt, al zeg ik het zelf. Sheri van a quilting life heeft dit eerste blok ontworpen.  En ik ga hiervoor mijn Morris stofjes gebruiken. Die liggen al heel lang in mijn kast te wachten op een leuk projectje. En helemaal geschikt voor deze 12 blokken.

This is the first block. It was fun making this last evening. Sheri of a quilting life made this first block design I used my Morris fabrics. They where waiting for a fun project. So I'm gona use them for the 12 blocks in this BOM

Had gisteren ook het plan gevat om twee tops te sandwichen. Samen met Mam, en dan gelijk ook een top van haar ook doen. Was lekker slim bezig, want van EscherCity was ik de achterkant stof vergeten mee te nemen. En Saskia's House was te groot om op de tafel te sandwichen. Ga woensdagavond een beroep doen, op 3 andere Stitch Witches om het op een grotere tafel of op de grond te sandwichen.
Die van Mam konden we gelukkig wel van rijgdraadjes voorzien.

Yesterday was sandwich day. I went to my parents to sandwich two of my tops and one Mom made.
Well, that was the plan. I forgot to take the back fabric with me, for the EscherCity top. And Saskia's House was to large to fit the sandwich table. Smart...(not) SO, wednesday I have a meeting with three Stitch Witches, and I'm gona ask them to sandwich the large Saskia's house with me.
We did sandwich the top Mom made as a project with her quilt group 'the 4-patches'.


En ik wil iedereen heel erg bedanken voor jullie stemmen. Ik ben helaas geen winnaar, ben op de 8ste plaats geëindigd van de 37 personen!
