Naaldwerk (Stitchery)

De eerste steekjes zijn gezet!
Afgelopen woensdag zijn we gestart met een nieuw jaarproject.
En ik moet zeggen, dat ik het borduren erg leuk vind om te doen.
Ik ben ze eerst allemaal aan het borduren, en daarna ga ik de blokken maken.


Last wednesday was the start of a new year project. And some stitchery has to be combined with patchwork.
So after the first stitches I can say, I realy like the stitchery.
I try to complete all the stitchery first and than make the patchwork.

Ik gebruik naast het gewone borduurdraad ook ander materiaal zoals knoopjes, kant en roosjes van band. Het maakt het voor mij wat levendig en niet zo precies.
Ik ben heel benieuwd hoe de andere bezig zijn met hun stitchery. Soms vind ik het toch wel jammer dat niet meer leden van mijn groep een blog hebben. Dan zouden we ook tussendoor elkaar kunnen inspireren en elkaar helpen.


Besides the normal DMC treath I use lace and buttons to make the stitchery more playfull. I like to work with all kinds of materials, and with this project I can go crazy... Sometimes I miss my group members, there just a few who blog too. I wish more did, so we could see the progress we make sooner, but also inspire and help each other. Now I just have to wait until the next month.
